John 10 -- His Sheep Knows His Voice

Sharing the Gospel always makes me nervous. I know it's important, but it doesn't mean it's easy to shake that feeling of nervousness. Despite the many people I've shared the Gospel with already, the butterflies still flutter.

That's why this passage gives me comfort when it comes to sharing the Gospel, John 10 says:

"...His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice." (John 10:4b-5 NIV)

Did you read that? "His sheep follow Him because they know His voice." When we share the Gospel, we can take comfort in the promise of Scripture that those who belong to the Lord will know His voice. We only need to speak the Good Shepherd's Word to them, and when they hear His Words, His sheep will follow.

So church, let's preach the Good News of the Good Shepherd knowing that when His Words are uttered, those who belong to Him will hear and respond for they will recognize the voice of their Master.

To God be the glory!
