March 1, 2026 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Jacob’s life is a portrait of perseverance. He was not the strongest, the most righteous, or the most stable. Yet he kept moving toward God’s promise. His story shows movements that speak directly to empowering the next generation.

Jacob began with a reputation as a deceiver. He ran from home, lived in fear, and wrestled with insecurity. Yet God did not discard him. Instead, God met him in the middle of his running. At Bethel, Jacob saw the ladder reaching to heaven and heard God reaffirm the covenant. God didn’t wait for Jacob to “fix himself” before using him. Jacob’s journey teaches that our past does not disqualify us from shaping the future.

The next generation doesn’t need perfect leaders. They need honest ones—people who can say, “I’ve been broken, but God met me there.” Our testimony becomes people’s roadmap.

The turning point of Jacob’s life came when he wrestled with God at Peniel. He refused to let go until he received a blessing. When we press into God—through prayer, obedience, repentance, and persistence—we’re not just fighting for ourselves. We’re fighting for those who will come after us. Our private battles become their public victories.

Jacob’s life gives us a pattern for empowering the next generation. Be honest about our journey. God uses transparency more than perfection. Let us fight for a deeper walk with God. Our spiritual persistence becomes people’s inheritance. Speak intentionally into people’s lives. Blessings, wisdom, and affirmation shape identity.

Pressing on is not just about finishing our race – it’s  about clearing the path for those who will run after us. Let us pray to the Lord to give us the courage of Jacob—to keep pressing on even when the road is hard. Pray that God will teach us to wrestle for blessings that will outlive us and pray that we will be helped to speak life, purpose, and identity into the next generation. May our faith journey become a foundation for those who follow after us.
