“There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven— A time to be born and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Amplified Bible
Such various contrasting events in life—times of joy and sorrow, building and tearing down, war and peace. Yes, everything happens in its appointed time. God has made everything beautiful in its time. It also speaks about the eternity set in the human heart and the enduring nature of God's work.
The rhythm of life—the ebb and flow of experiences, challenges, and joys, reminds us that life is full of seasons, each with its own purpose. Whether it's moments of growth, hardship, celebration, or reflection, everything has its time.
What are we to do then? We need to accept life's changes, recognizing that we can't control everything. It resonates with ideas of mindfulness and trusting the process, much like how people today emphasize "going with the flow" or embracing life's unpredictability. We must also realize and accept the importance of appreciating the present, knowing that every season—good or bad—serves a role in shaping us.
Additionally, God has "set eternity in the human heart," suggesting that while we experience time-bound events, we also long for something greater and lasting, to look beyond material success and seek deeper meaning. Trusting in God’s divine timing means having faith that everything happens for a reason.
