August 16, 2026 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Cheryl Zamora

Life piles weight on our shoulders—expectations, disappointments, responsibilities, quiet fears we don’t voice. Jesus doesn’t tell us to toughen up or carry it better. He simply says come. Not perform, not prove, not perfect—just come.

His promise isn’t escape from life but rest within it. He offers a yoke that fits—one shaped by grace, not pressure; by companionship, not isolation. When we walk with Him, the load doesn’t vanish, but it becomes shared. And shared burdens become lighter.

Jesus’ rest is not inactivity; it is peace while moving, strength while serving, calm while enduring. It’s the deep assurance that you are not carrying anything alone.

Today, pause. Breathe. Bring your weariness—whatever form it takes—to the One who welcomes it. His rest is not distant; it’s present, offered, and enough.
