October 18, 2026 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART
Pastor Immanuel Garcera
Hello church! By the time you’re reading this, my family and I will be in one of the most secluded towns in the United States -- Glasgow, Montana. We’re here for a short vacation following the return of PS (it’s my turn!). Despite the seclusion of this place that we chose to be our home away from home for the next 5 days, what I find amazing is that wherever we are, whatever we’re doing -- we can worship God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” As a teenager growing up in the Lord -- I took that seriously! From Bible studies to washing dishes at my part-time job, I did my best and I did it for the Lord whenever I could! One time, while working at Tokyo Express, all my co-workers went on break and I was the only one working -- a big family came in and ordered so much sushi that it was going to take forever to make it solo! Grumpily, I still tried to do my best for the Lord.
What I learned in those times is that even when we’re tired, or not even in the mood to worship, when we do our best anyways for the Lord, making whatever we are doing as an act of worship -- it would turn out for the best. So apart from worship on Sundays, let’s worship God and give glory to Him in our 9-5s also! Anyways, I think that family noticed I was in a bad mood making their sushi, so when they saw that their food was still nicely made (instead of being haphazardly made by a grumpy teenager), they made sure to thank me. All I thought of was -- to God be the glory.
