October 11, 2026 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Cheryl Zamora

There are days when I feel the weight of my life’s journey — when the path ahead looks long, and my strength feels thin. Yet Psalm 84:5-8 remind me that blessed are those whose strength is in God, whose hearts are set on the pilgrimage. It comforts me to know that God doesn’t expect me to carry myself; He invites me to lean into Him as I walk.

I think about the “valley of Baca,” that dry, weary place. I’ve had my own valleys — seasons where prayers felt slow, where hope felt fragile. But the Psalm says that those who trust God make it a place of springs. Somehow, God turns the very places that drained me into places where I find Him more deeply. The valley becomes the classroom of grace.

And the promise that we go “from strength to strength” speaks to me. Not all at once, not in a dramatic leap — but step by step. God meets me with the strength I need for this moment, and then the next. He doesn’t rush me; He walks with me.

Today, I’m reminded that my journey is seen. My steps are known. And even in the dry places, God is quietly shaping me, refreshing me, and leading me toward Himself. Thank you, Lord and to You be praise and glory!
