May 10, 2026 (Mother's Day) - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART
Cheryl Zamora
Motherhood is one of the quiet wonders of God’s design. It is a calling woven with joy and sacrifice, strength and tenderness, laughter and tears. Scripture reminds us of this sacred role when it says, “Her children arise and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28). A mother’s influence is not measured in grand gestures but in the steady rhythm of daily love—love that shapes hearts long before children understand its depth.
Mothers reflect God’s character in profound ways. Their patience mirrors His gentleness. Their protection echoes His faithfulness. Their compassion reveals His heart. Even their exhaustion tells a story of love poured out, just as Christ poured Himself out for us. In Isaiah 66:13, God says, “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.” This is not accidental imagery. God intentionally uses the tenderness of a mother to help us understand His own care.
Today we honour mothers—those raising children, those who long to, those who have lost, and those who have stepped into the role through love rather than biology. Each one carries a story marked by courage. Each one reflects God’s nurturing presence in the world.
If you are a mother, know this: your unseen work is seen by God. Every prayer whispered, every tear shed, every moment you choose love over weariness—God gathers these like precious offerings. You are shaping lives in ways that will outlast you. You are planting seeds that God Himself will water.
May you feel His delight today. May you rest in His strength. And may you know that your love is building a legacy that heaven celebrates.
